Best of all, you have a 75 mile drive to the airport (better hope there's no snow in the forecast). Information and help desks A visitor Information desk (tel: 414 747 4808) and Travelers' Aid (tel: 414 747 5245) can be found on the upper level of the Terminal.
Airport Facilities ATMs machines are located throughout the Terminal with an M&I Bank in the main precinct. Other facilities include a Wisconsin Specialty shop, a restaurant and a wide range of shops, snackbars, and bars throughout the concourses. A baby care room with toddler play port, located on concourse D at Gate 31 is open around the clock.
Disabled Facilities Airport facilities are wheelchair accessible and TDD phones are located throughout. Wheelchairs for use at the airport are available free of charge at the Travelers' Aid desk; Skycap porters are available to assist with wheelchairs. The restaurant on the upper level precinct offers menu in Braille. Avis, Budget and Hertz offer hand-controlled rental cars (reservations should be made several days in advance).
Business Facilities Executive workstations are located at the north end of the upper level precinct near the entrance to concourse C. Workstations are equipped with phone and fax. Mail, Federal Express and UPS drop- boxes and postage stamp machines are at the same location. In-airport conference rooms are available for a nominal fee by reservation (tel: 414 747 5392).
Car Rental Alamo, Avis, Budget, Hertz, and National are all represented and can be contacted free of charge from within the United States; telephone numbers (including TDD numbers) can be found by clicking on 'Getting To and From' on the airport's website at (http://www.mitchellairport.com). Avis, Budget and Hertz offer hand-controlled rental cars (reservations should be made several days in advance).
Car Parking The airport main car park is connected to the Terminal by skywalks; daily (long-term) and hourly (short-term) parking is available. Other parking options include a surface car park close to the Terminal and three remote car parks although remote car parks B and C are only open during peak periods. There are free shuttle services to and from the remote car parks. Disabled space is provided in the main car park, for assistance dial 5309 on the white courtesy phones provided. Driving Directions The airport is located on its own junction 8km (5m) south of Milwaukee and 112km (70m) north of Chicago, on exit 119 off Interstate 94. From Chicago: take Interstate 94 north to the airport exit.
Public Transport & Taxis There is a shuttle service to city centre hotels and business locations provided by Limousine Service Inc. (tel: 414 769 2444) whilst Airport Connection (tel: 414 769 2444) and Transit Express (tel: 414 264 4550) operate 'shared ride shuttles' or buses. Badger Coaches (tel: 414 276 7490) run to Lake Mills and Madison; Public Transit (tel: 414 344 6711) serves Milwaukee County; United Limo (tel: 1 800 833 5555 toll free) operates a service to Racine and Kenosha Counties, WI Gurnee, and O'Hare/Midway Airpots; Wisconsin Coach Lines (tel: 414 542 8861) run to Waukesha, Racine and Kenosha Counties.
