Day Rooms Have a layover?
We offer special rates at over 200 airports for day stays between the hours of 0800 and 1900. All hotels offer full service amenities, services, and free transportation. All of our hotels offer either 1 or 2 beds - special family rates may also be available for your stay. In addition, many of our hotels offer business center services.
Information and help desks Airport Information Authority counters can be found on levels 5, 6 and 7. The Hong Kong Tourist Association Counters are located in the Arrivals hall, level 5 and in the transit area, and are staffed 0700-2300, with brochures and an internet information link available 24 hours a day.
Airport Facilities Several currency exchange counters, banks and ATMs are located throughout the passenger Terminal, as are food and drink outlets, open 24 hours. A post office is located in the Departures hall and a medical centre is on level 6. Gifts, other shops and duty-free (Hong Kong SkyMart) are available.
Disabled Facilities The airport has good physical access and plenty of wheelchair accessible toilets.
Business Facilities The airport's Telecommunications and Business Centre is located in the Cable & Wireless HKT shop, open 0700-2300. Services include internet access, fax, telegrams, videoconferencing and local mobile phone rental (tel: 28 83 38 71; fax: 22 61 26 01). Further conference and business facilities are available from the nearby Regal Airport Hotel (tel: 22 86 88 88).
Car Rental Car rental services are available from International Hire Car.
Car Parking There is one multi-storey and three ground level car parks.
Driving Directions From Hong Kong Island follow road signs to Western Harbour Tunnel. Once out of the tunnel, drive along the West Kowloon Expressway; follow Airport road signs and cross the Tsing Ma Bridge to the airport island. Continue along North Lantau Highway to reach the airport.
Public Transport & Taxis The airport is served by five limousine companies; taxis and public buses are readily available from the Ground Transportation Centre adjacent to the passenger Terminal. The Airport Express Line operates trains which leave the airport every ten minutes; it is a 23 minute journey from the airport to Hong Kong station, also stopping at Kowloon (tel: 28 81 88 88); free shuttle buses from the rail stations serve various hotels. Citybus's frequent, wheelchair-accessible luxury Cityflyer coaches serve major destinations in Hong Kong, Kowloon and the region day and night (tel: 28 73 08 18). High speed ferries (tel: 29 87 73 51) run between the airport and Tuen Mun, with a shuttle bus from the Terminal to the Chek Lap Kok Ferry Pier. MTR Travel Services (tel: 29 93 22 11) and a number of other coach companies offer a variety of travel services for journeys to mainland China or Macau.
