Information and help desks Airport and tourist information is available from uniformed bilingual Special Service Representatives (SSRs) at various locations throughout the Terminal. There is also a TDD information service (tel: 713 641 7780).
Airport Facilities Facilities include ATMs, currency exchange, business services, airport information, a hotel reservation desk, car hire services, shops, restaurants and bars.
Disabled Facilities Access for disabled people is good throughout the airport apart from in the meeting room.
Business Facilities The airport offers a meeting room which can be booked through a Special Service Representative (see Information and Help Desks). It is not accessible to disabled people, and will not be available during the second half of 2000 due to a construction programme.
Car Rental Rental companies include Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Hertz and National.
Car Parking Parking is available in a four-level garage which has direct access to the Terminal building. There is an additional car park within walking distance of the Terminal.
Driving Directions The airport is bordered by Interstate Highway 45, connecting to major freeways and thoroughfares which give ready access to the Gulf Coast industrial complex.
Public Transport & Taxis The Airport Express Bus serves central Houston: the METRO bus service leaves from Curbzone 1 on the lower level, as do taxis (fare to central Houston approximately $17).
