Boise Airport
Boise Airport serves as the primary commercial service airport in southwestern Idaho, but its service area (with a population in excess of 500,000) extends well into eastern Oregon.
Airlines: Southwest, Horizon Air, United, Delta, Skywest, Northwest, America West, Big Sky, American Eagle, and Frontier.
Parking: Currently, there are 310 short term and 305 long term surface parking spaces and 1340 spaces in the garage. A shuttle parking lot at Orchard & Wright/Victory has 600 spaces. The 400 feet of curb side parking is for quick drop-offs and pick-ups - no unattended vehicles allowed for security reasons. There is also a parking lane for taxicabs and commercial vehicles. 24 Hour Long Term parking is $6.50. 24 Hour Short Term parking is $18.00. Parking in the Garage for 24 hours is $8.50. Hourly rate is $.75 per half hour.

History
Boise's first municipal airport was built in 1926 on a grave bed beside the Boise River where State University is located today.
A great moment in local air history came on September 4, 1927 when Charles A. Lindbergh landed his "Spirit of St. Louis" in Boise
Boise bought and leased land for the present airport in 1936-38. Its 8,800 foot runway was the nation's longest at that time.

Boise Airport has two parallel runways.
North runway (10L/28R): 10,000 ft. long and 150 ft. wide
South runway (10R/28L): 9,763 ft. long and 150 ft. wide
BOI has over 50 vehicles including: tractors, loaders, snow brooms, snow blowers, sweepers, dump trucks, deicing trucks, and fog dispersal trucks to keep the runways open and operational no matter what the weather.
